The access area is located near the San Benito/Fresno County line just north of the paved road at 30° 17.553N; 120° 40.670W. This parking area provides access for hunters and hiker into the area south and southwest of Condon Peak. The area is popular with wild hog hunters and hikers. This is also the access point to Garcia Canyon and Duckworth Canyon.

You can also find a narrow vein of fossils near here, about 200 yards west of the county line.

Camping is permitted here and the parking area is popular with bicycle tour groups as a rest area.
