Located in Fresno County and named on Santa Rita Peak 7.5' quadrangle at 718618nE, 4019620mN at 2650 feet. This was the mineing camp for the Archer Mine which is located about 1 mile northeast. The original camp, consisting of a small log cabin in which Joe Byles lived, was located at the mine. The camp was later moved to its current location below the mine. Joe Byles had an underground conveyer shaft dug from the mine to about half way down the hill toward Archer Camp where the mill site was located.
