Breen Mine

Named on San Benito Mountain 7.5" quadrangle at N36° 19.296; W120° 42.641 at 2764 feet. In 1947 Averill stated that the Breen Group mine was owned by the Breen Estate of Hernández and ceased production in 1933. A 1891 map list this as Juan Miguel. This mine was previously known as the Don Juan Mine, the Don Miguel Mine, the San Benito Mine and the Cody Mine

This cinnabar mine was located next to the San Benito River near the 1950-1970 location of the Picacho Store (now gone).
