Clear Creek Mine

Named on the Idria 7.5’ quadrangle at N36° 23.111; W120° 44.152 at 3651 feet. The Clear Creek Mining Company obtain a claim for this cinnabar mine in 1868. Original owners of the Clear Creek Mine were James P. Sargent, Andrew J. Sargent and Benjamin Flint.

Sargent & Flint have commenced active operations on their Clear Creek quicksilver mine. Messrs. Tagliarie & Bowey have taken charge of the works, and are building a new furnace.
