Larious Creek

Called Larios Creek on a 1891 map. This feature is named for the Larios family who lived in the Idria area in the 1880s. Jose M. Larios obtained a land patent in 1892. Theodore, David and Juana obtained nearby patents soon after. The 1907 map of San Benito County show Juana Larios and David Larios holding title to land in this area.

According to Averill the San Benito Coal mine located on "Larius Creek" was worked around 1906.
