Portuguese Canyon

Named on Joaquin Rocks 7.5' quadrangle. Portuguese Canyon is the upper northwestern part of Diaz Canyon; Ne Hi Canyon is the northeaster part. This is called Portuguese Canyon because a Portuguese sheepherder once lived either at the top of the canyon or at the month of the canyon.
