San Benito MillNamed on San Benito Mountain 7.5' quadrangle, the San Benito Mill is located at the confluence of San Benito River and Saw Mill Creek at N36° 20.580; W120° 39.851 at 3847 feet. This chromite mill was built by Jack James in 1953. There was once a little community of about 30 families, a school house and blacksmith located near this site known as Small's Camp. People living at Small's Camp worked at local mines and ran the open pit sawmill.
